About Me

    My name is Elysia Buss and I've been giving people massage since I was five years old.  I became a licensed massage therapist in 2002 after attending Ashmead School of Massage in Seattle.  I have attended numerous continuing education courses over the years.  Some of which include medical massage for the neck, low back and extremities; trigger point therapy, sports massage, zero polarity therapy, thai massage, pregnancy massage, cranio sacral therapy, lymphatic drainage, professional ethics, and animal massage.  

    I also went to school at the Northwest School of Animal Massage and became a licensed massage therapist for large and small animals.  I am a nationally board certified massage therapist and I am licensed to work in Montana, and Virginia.  I love to travel and help people as often as I can.

    After traveling around the United States for four and a half months, I landed in Charlottesville, Virginia and made it my primary residence in February of 2021.  I have strong hands and a warm heart.  I love to make my clients laugh, but I am also happy to be quiet for the entire session.  It's really just about meeting people where they're at and providing the best service possible. I do not take insurance.  You can pay by credit card, cash, check, or Venmo.

    As well as being a massage therapist, I have been an elementary and middle school teacher.  I have a BA and Masters in education as well as a Waldorf teaching certificate.  I also have a post graduate degree in equine assisted learning.  I've used this knowledge to begin an empowerment and confidence coaching program for equestrians which focuses on increasing their connection to themselves, their horse, and other people.  I can also help people who don't own horses.  For more information on what a transformation coach is and how I can help you; check out www.globalequineaffiliates.com.   Thank you for your time and interest.  I look forward to meeting you soon.
